The PIANY cRIO EtherCAT slave module offers a unique solution to combine the efficiency of EtherCAT networks together with the common tools of the NI cRIO Platform.
A system with complex machines and various components can be captured in a single diagram thanks to the PIANY module. EtherCAT combined with LabVIEW enables synchronisation and real time control of the complete system. IP addresses and high-speed switches are not needed. This not only simplifies the initial setup but also allows for later parametrisation over the network thanks to the asynchronous transmission of service data.
